At the end of March, the plans of the Rokiškis district local action group to organize the collection of local project applications were corrected by the coronavirus. Once the epidemic situation in the country has been declared, neither LAG board meetings nor training of applicants is possible. Raimonda Stankevičiūtė-Vilimienė, the chairwoman of the LAG, hopes that the next fifth call will be launched at the end of April - the date is now April 28.

During the fifth call-project collection, applicants will be invited to submit projects under 3 areas of activity: “Support for investments in social, cultural, active leisure, tourism infrastructure and services organized by combining local volunteer initiatives” (code LEADER-19.2-SAVA-5.1); “Business start-up support” (code LEADER-19.2-6.2); "Support for business development" (code LEADER-19.2-6.4).

In the business support measure, the maximum possible amounts of support have changed: in the business start-up measure, this amount has increased to 100 thousand. EUR, in the business development measure - up to 65 thousand. Eur. However, the commitment on mandatory jobs has not changed: 50 thousand. Eur support - 1 new full-time job.

The sixth call is also planned for the beginning of autumn (preliminary call time: 1 September - 6 October). Measures planned for the sixth call: “Support for investments in and management of cultural heritage sites and protected areas” (code LEADER-19.2-7.6), “Support for training to provide skills and improve competencies in business” (code LEADER-19.2 – SAVA-3.1 ) and both business.
