Freedom on the way and LAG members
On August 23rd, members of Rokiškis district LAG stood in the "way of Freedom" chain: chairwoman Raimonda Stankevičiūtė-Vilimienė, Audronė Baltuškaitė, volunteer Martyna Povilavičiūtė . The ,, way of Freedom" is a sign of solidarity with Belarusians fighting for democratic change in their country.
The chain of people connected Vilnius with the Medininkai at the border. Standing in a living chain of people was remembered "The Baltic Way", when three country - Lithuanians, Latvians and Estonians peacefully expressed our desire to be free. This time, 31 years after that historic event, support was expressed for the people of neighbouring Belarus, who have risen to the struggle for the right to be masters in their own country.
We encourage other LAG members to share information about your initiatives by initiating or joining the Belarusian support campaigns.
